BYU–Idaho is a four-year private university owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rexburg, Idaho. There are approximately 21,000 students (13,000 per semester)attending BYU–Idaho from all 50 states and more than 60 countries. BYU–Idaho operates year-round. Its academic programs are spread across six colleges: Agriculture and Life Sciences; Business and Communication; Education and Human Development; Language and Letters; Performing and Visual Arts; Physical Sciences and Engineering.
I~Comm Student Media is a unique educational expericence of university students. It is a student-managed program modeled after industry practices common in Advertising, Public Relations, Videography, Web Development, Photography, Graphic Design, and Journalism companies. Students have the freedom and opportunity to apply concepts they learn in classes to creative projects for paying customers. They apply skills learned in the classroom to real-world projects and enhance their professional expertise while still in school.
I~Comm Student Media provides the students with the opportunity to experience a variety of jobs in communication, media and multi-media fields, giving them valuable skills they can immediately apply for their employers.

It's time to launch your work from your desktop into the mainstream with I~Comm Student Media. Anyone can join. It doesn't matter if you are a freshman or even a senior - your work is wanted.
Too busy? Write freelance. You can write for Scroll without even joining the staff. No commitment is necessary and submission is easy. Just e-mail your article to scrolleditor@byui.edu or bring it to the Scroll office in Spori 114. You can also include original photographs with your submission. Remember to include your major and year. While it is likely that your article will be published, it is not guaranteed.
Scroll staff. Part-time Scroll staff members meet together on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:15 p.m. as a one-credit practicum class. You will be assigned to write articles about events around campus and topics that are important to students. You will also have the opportunity to apply for paid leadership (editor) positions. Looking for something different? Beef up your professional portfolio while still in school. I~Comm Student Media gives you an opportunity to do real work for real clients. This student-run organization is also a one-credit practicum class that meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m., and any student from any major or year can register. You can also work your way up to a paid leadership position within the various branches:
