SALT LAKE CITY– During his opening remarks at the 182nd Semi-Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, President Thomas S. Monson president of the church announced a change to the age requirements for male and female missionaries.

Elders will now be able to submit their mission paperwork and enter the MTC at age 18 and upon high school graduation.  Sisters will now be able to submit their mission paperwork and enter the MTC  at age 19 .  These changes are effective immediately.
